buying first TV Can't Post

I'm buying my own place this week and trying to figure out what TV to buy. I'm busy with work and at the fire station 1/3 of my life so I don't watch a whole lot of tv but would like a nice one when I do and want to play some xbox as well. I would like a tv in the 46-55in range. There are a lot of used projections for around $250. Are these tv's good or out of date. It seems like these days all the new is lcd or plasma. Is it worth the extra money for a newer one or will an older projection deliver good quality? Thanks for our help.

Let YOUR use and EYES be your guide.
Considering the quality of the new sets and their lack of longevity, I'd recommend the 3 to 7 year old CRT type projection sets. Just be sure they are in good working condition and will allow proper plug-in of equipment you desire to operate on it.Crazy

The Sharp LC19SB27UT has remarkable quality and it costs around 150$. The HDMI input is a feature that i treasure the most. Hooking my laptop to the TV has proven helpful in many situations.

LCD & Plasma both are good choices. I would like to suggest you for buy a new LCD. It's picture quality is much better than CRT's.

 MadHello creeksidelc,
If you are going to buy your first TV for your home, then at first you should think about quality. Nowadays more people believe in LCD because its picture quality and sounds is very good. Now I am using Digital Signage Solutions, really it's very good with quality and price. I think it is also better for you. For this you can visit at allsee-tech.com. Have a look!

Thanks

Episodes are also available ONLINE.

This avoids that pesky problem of having to PAY for the privilege of watching them or owning them in a Boxset.Wink

Re: [jts1957] buying first TV [In reply to] Can't Post

With TVs these days, everyone just wants a bigger screen. They may not actually need a bigger screen, but its the feeling of power that the huge screen gives, and it also gives people a chance to show off their latest TV Screen Size. The only problem is that buying a new TV can be very expensive, so you should follow these tips to avoid making mistakes whilst buying one.

The first major tip is to never buy a used TV. These probably won't have warranty and you don't know how long they will work for. The good thing about TVs is that the price of TVs goes down quite quickly over time, so you may think you'd be saving money by purchasing a used TV when in fact if you just wanted a few months, you could probably get an even better new one. You could save a lot of money just by waiting.

Re: Yes its called an LED TV [In reply to] Can't Post

LCD or Plasma get second and third place when it comes to best picture. If you want to get the best TV out there to buy, then you'd want to get a LED TV. They have the best picture with deeper blacks and whiter whites. Its also uses the electricity and is the thinest. Unfornately there more expensive than there lcd or palsma counter-part. Here our some cheap one here http://plasmagod.com/...hp?c=3&x=LED_tvs
