Sony DVD DVP-S560D Restricted Viewing	Can't Post

I bought a Sony DVD DVP-S560D while in America, now I am in Africa and cannot view some movies from friends. It shows on the screen this message- viewing restricted by region. Is anyone in the know how I can go around this problem? Please help it is so frustrating

I can't beleive this situation, Your SONY can't speak to you and clearly showing you the problem and you still not getting the message!.... Sydney! You bought the player not compliant from your region!

Sony can reprogram these with special remote

if you hunt the web there is some info on doing this on a laptop using its infra red output
