Sony DVD Model DVP-FX700 Stops/"No Disc"	Can't Post

Player powers up; plays the DVD intro then stops and starts saying "no disc". Menu's don't work either after player stops. Any ideas? Thanks

I have approximately the same problem: "Can't read diskl" pops up after a short time running. Have you found a place to repair the FX700?

Opps! higher cost.! Mechanical problem, You need the entire cd mechanism. Failure alignment of the cd deck reaching the exact position while spinning and the lens below reading the disc.
