Sony DVP-NS305 Can't Post

To any Sony DVD experts out there!!

This DVD player has a problem where it turns off immediately after turning on. Sounds like a power supply problem. Any Ideas?

Regards

Re: [Guest] Sony DVP-NS305 [In reply to] Can't Post

Looks like you have a problem similar to mine. I have a DVP-NS315 which is almost identical. I'm in the process of changing a damaged IC on the Power Supply board, as soon as I have my problem solved I'll let you know. I'm expecting another user to tell me which part# is this IC, because mine is burned out beyond recognition.
If you could tell me... It is a small IC by the side of the transformer on the Power Supply board, its location is IC101 and has a heat disipation plate welded to the board.
I think you should change this part to fix your problem, and please don't forget me, and tell me which number it has printed, to help me locate the replacement.

Thanks a lot!!
