dvd door on player will not stay open Can't Post
I have a poineer dvd player and when i open the door it opens all the way and closes just as fast.Any help would be appreciated.

It's the switch inside the disc tray. You have to disassemble the cd tray to clean and lubricate the mechanism, check if there are missing/broken spikes of the the load/unload gear.( located at bottom of the disc tray. This is simply a mechanical problem, nothing major.

Right on target! That was the problem. Door hinge had popped out of hinge causing it not to make contact with switch. Thanks much.
