i looking to get a new tv, however i am not sure whether to get a analoge tv with a set top box or an intergrated tv, i have been told that the Analogue with a bo is more reliable,

any advice?

Only advantage to a set with a built in tuner and cable card,is one less box to connect. If you can receive over the air hd local channels(abc,nbc,cbs,fox,etc) and are NOT also using a sat company or cable company,than a built in tuner is of use to you.

Both sat company's hd receivers can also receive over the air hd local channels with a seperate antenna.

Cable companies have hd locals included with their digital package.

There are so many different set top boxes.However my suggestion would be to get intergrated tv.Less wires and you can put the tv anywhere without worrying about how far the scart will reach.
