Will I need a converter box for the TV's in the house for other than the main TV which is on the digital cable box provided by my cable provider?

If the other sets are on an off-air antenna system, yes you will need a converter on each set.

The tv sets not connected directly to the cable box receive their signal from the cable company connected to outlets in other rooms of the house. My question is will these other tvs which are not connected directly to the cable box need a converter box?

You need to contact the cable company and ask them if their system will still support analog sets.
