4k HDMI through Denon Amp

Hi!
I just changed my TV for a 4K 65" and my PS4 for a Pro. Currently, all my HDMI goes through an HDMI switch and to my Denon AVR-988 Amplifier, then to the TV.
Since the Amplifier is 9 years old and was made before 4K, do you think I have some loss? My old TV had only one HDMI port, but the new one has 3. But I would have to buy some longer HDMI cable. I like the current wiring like it is, but I'm afraid I lose some 4K data through the switch or the Amplifier.
