500 and Less Can't Post

I have budget of $500 and less, I would like to know what a good TV would be. I am utterly terrible when it comes to televisions, I do know the difference between resolutions and resolution types Progressive and the other one.

If possible I would like it to be light-weight, but never at the expense of a good quality tv.

Thanks in Advanced.

Me.

you cant go far wrong with Panasonic, though as you posted in the HD forum i doubt you will get one for $500.The problem with cheapo electronics is that they are ok whilst they are working but getting spares from China or Turkey etc is a nightmare so dont expect a cheap tv to be fixable in a year or two when it goes wrong.Best to visit a good store and view whats available but always ask their technical staff about future repairs NOT the salesmen.
