Blu-Ray player switching the TV signal

I have had a recent problem with our new Samsung HD television and it's accompanying Blu-ray player. Whenever we play a DVD or my wife even cleans the top of the Blu-ray player of dust, (which activates the power to the player) the TV signal switches off and we temporarily lose the cable signal until I manually switch it back over.
On our TV menu, this is how the two devices are hooked up:
HDMI/DV1= FiOS cable TV
HDMI-CEC= Blu-Ray player
Samsung model #UN46C8000XF
This is a big hassle if I am going to have to keep pulling out the original TV remote and select the menu button to switch it back to the TV choice.
Not sure how to remedy this. Any help?
