DVI or RGB Component Cables? Can't Post

I just purchased the Zenith 44" LCD projection monitor...I have been using RGB component cables in the past from my HD cable box...is the DVI cable better picture quality?

Thanks in Advance.

No answers so I tried myself...I don't see any picture quality improvements with the DVI cable.

Just wondering how you like your zenith. I was going to buy the 46" samsung dlp but now I am considering the 44" zenith lcd. Smile

The DVI connection eliminates the need for your HD STB to make a digital->analog conversion and your TV then making an analog->digital conversion. You should, but will not always, get a slightly better picture with the DVI connection. It's best to just hook it up both ways and see for yourself. Personally, with that model (having only one DVI input) I would use good quality component video cables for your High-Def source, then get a good quality upconversion DVD player and hook it up through the DVI connection, that should get you the best of both worlds! And don't underestimate the value of good quality cables!!
