HDMI Port Not Working

Hey all, I am new to this forum, but I am having a huge issue with my TV and hopefully someone can help that is a TV wiz. I am a computer engineer so I know my way around elctronics of all types! I have googled and called JVC technical service with no luck. My last hope is posting on technical forums.
I have a 70" JVC 1080p HD-ILA Model number: HD-70GC78. The HDMI ports are not working. I have tried the reset (timer - display + video) with no luck and have tried both ports with different types of cords. All that shows is a blank screen.
Here is the best way to describe my problem. I plugged me xbox 360 up and the xbox gives me the 4 blinking rings which means it recongizes the HDMI port and should display, but no luck. I would appreciate any help, I read that I might have to take the back panel out and reset the jumpers somehow!! Hope someone responds!! I defintely dont want to pay a few hundred dollars to get repaired.
