HDTV inputs Can't Post

I am looking at purchasing a HDTV, that is 1080i. I want to be able to hook my computer up to it via a dvi video out connector on my video card. Here is the problem, the tv doesn't have a dvi plug, only digital input is component video. Would the conversion from dvi to component affect the quality alot?

Foxer -
Why not consider an HDTV with the DVI plug? Do you have your heart set on an inexpensive brand without DVI? Sony makes some excellent HDTV's with DVI.

I can't answer the quality aspect of only using component connections vs DVI, but I would definitely keep looking for HDTV in your price range with it.
