Philips Power On Problem Can't Post

A relative has a Philips Model Number: 32PFL3505D/F7 tv, which has started to experience the following problem. If the tv has been turned off for an hour or more, when one attempts to turn it on (whether it be via remote or directly) the Philips logo comes on and then it shuts off. One has to go through the process of turning it on for what at times can be up to half an hour before the television stays on. Philips was contacted and all they had to offer was to unplug the tv, press the power on button and hold it for 20 seconds and then repeatedly press the power on button 20 times. The Philips rep told me that there is no history of such a problem occuring and that it is an isolated incident. <br>

Stray electrons inside the entrails of the microprocesser can wreak havoc. The set will need a degauss to thoroughly cleanse these corrupt entities.
