Recommended HDTV for $5,000 or less Can't Post

Hello.
I looked at several other threads, but, unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a good answer.
I'm looking for the "best"/recommended HDTV with a budget of $5,000 or less (more is possible, but I'd need to understand why the need to spend more). My media niche is about 52.5" wide. Depth and height should be more than enough in the niche, so that shouldn't be a concern.
I was just at Bestbuy and it's my understanding that LED TVs are the best out nowadays. Is that accurate?? They had a seemingly really nice 55" TV that would seemingly work in my niche rather nicely, but I'm NOT sure if what they are saying is reliable. I'm simply not a TV expert.

What TV would you recommend?

Thanks in advance

I wouldnt say they are the best but they are definitley the cheapest. They also last forever...as for a good LCD TV thats under $5000 I would suggest http://thelcdtvreviewer.com/...inch-1080p-lcd-hdtv/

We just got a Panasonic 58 inch HDTV 1080 which has been a great value. Got it at Best Buy for 1/3 off basically... excellent value for the size and tech features!

Samsung UE55B7020 55 inch Led tv seems to be the one you are looking for. Yeah I agree that Led tvs is the next hot thing today. But seriously, you dont have to spend a lot when buying a 55" led tv. You can simply check out 1staudiovisual TVs they have lots of cheap led tvs you might want to see.

So much is changing quickly right now in LCD screens. The separate white LED background lights are the most dramatic change.

I Personally would wait a bit. Our dollar has lost about as much as it's going to. I think.. no hurry in buying sooner than later due to that.

And technically the separate LED's for background will increase contrast
dramatically. However whether it matters past a certain point is proabably unimportant.

Look at getting a spyder / spider for color matching. Before you buy familiarize yourself with some of the best forums. The AV forum site. I think it's in the UK but not sure.. is one of the best. Find it for sure.
