Our Toshiba 50h71 wont come on at all, power clicks, red indicator light blinks. Anyone know what I should look for / try? This is the first time, its about two years old, never had power problem. Tried unplugging, same thing...Thanks

I had the problem. You need a new power supply.

I just posted the same question. I already had power supply cicuit boards replaced after 3 years, and 3 years later, it's happened again. I was able to get the TV to work intermittently, but it died again. I was quoted $400-450. It seems like this is a Toshiba bug.

Mad Yep, I just had the same situation. 1 1/2 year old 57hdx82. All of a sudden, the screen and sound died. Service came out and knew what the problem was - even came in carrying a box with a power supply board in it. Stayed for almost an hour and I got a bill for $560 - with $300 of that being labor and "house call" charge.

I was given the option of having him put the old board back in and just charging me the house call fee and the diagnostic fee - total of about $100 to have my TV the same as it was when he arrived.

I'm pretty sure I will think twice about buying a television that I can't carry back in if there is a problem - especially a Toshiba
