Which Sony HDTV to buy? Can't Post

We're in the market for a new HDTV. My wife and I have decided on getting a Sony CRT unit, but we are not sure which one. Can anyone here help us decide?

What we are looking at right now is the 36" KD36XS955 or the 34" KDXBR960. Other potential buys would be the 32" KD-32SX945, 30" KD-30SX955, or 34" KD-34XS955.

We like the Super Fine Pitch displays a lot. Are any of these potential problematic purchases?

Is there anything to be gained from "setting it up"? I've heard of reference DVDs for tweaking sets, but have no clue where to get them or who makes them.

Any help on this purchase?

Thanks!

I can help you with the set up dvd's.

Avia,Sound and Vision, and DVE all have set up dvds.

They are used to adjust your settings for contrast, sharpness, brightness, color and tint.

There are also many more advanced tests on the dvds.

I used one on my old fashion analog 36" tv and it made a big difference.

You can buy them at most websites that sell tv,a/v equipment.Usually under the miscellaneous column.

Hi-

Thanks for the help on the set up DVDs. I'll be sure to snag one of those. I've heard that Sony CRTs are set up "bright" or "hot" from the factory and that by using these DVDs you can get a better picture and possibly increase the life of the set. This may be hogwash... know anything about it?

All tvs come with the contrast set at 100%,which gives it a bright picture for the show room floor.

Try here for more info on the Sony sets that you loke.
