help with my new hdtv

hello everyone i'm new to this forum
so here's the thing:
we bought 2 hdtvs (lcd), a sony 46" and a samsung 32"
the small one is for me
earlier today i wanted to try out my laptop's hd out feature and play some fifa 11, and it worked flawlessly on the sony, really liked it, no laggs no performance issues
when i used it today on the samsung 32" lcd, it was always lagging, but on the laptop only it ran flawlessly
it is a SAMSUNG LE32C530 LCD-TV and i have a hp dv7
one thing i noticed is that it says 50fps whenever i switch to hdtv mode on the tv, but i don't think i can get up to 50 fps with fifa 11 on a laptop
suggestions on what to do anyone?
