hello to all every1 out here.......

ppl i have a serious problem...... i purchased a sony wega trinitron 34" drc hd tv back in 2003 (model no "kv-hs34m91" with super fine pitch and drc.... similar to its newer one the "kd34xbr970")...... my model that is the kv-hs34m91 supports the following resolutions:

1080i@50/60hz
720p@50/60hz
576p/i@50hz
480p/i@60hz

these resolutions r truly hd....but the problem comes here..... this tv does not have an HDMI or a DVI input on its rear.....but instead has G,B,R,HD,VD inputs on its rear that is a component cable together with hd and vd cable........when i contacted sony they said that g,b,r,hd,vd is same as hdmi and dvi only they all have different cables for high definition connection...

my question is how will i be able to connect a playstation3 which has an HDMI cable to my tv
is there an adaptor to convert hdmi to g,b,r,hd,vd or will i get a g,b,r,hd,vd cable for the ps3???

or will i need to sell this one and get a new hd tv with hdmi and dvi........

hmmm!! wat u say is first get a hdmi to dvi-a male cable then get another dvi-a female to r,g,b,h,v cable and connect both....... so that the ps3 gets connected to the tv.....

sounds good if it works.....but i fear that with the no of cables involved the quality of transmission would go slightly down a level.....

i am having a hard time searching for hdmi to r,g,b,hd,vd,L(audio),R(audio) cable.......

ne way thx 4 ur help dude...!!!!

I was just wandering, I don't have an HD or a plasma tv yet, I'm planning to buy this Christmas. My question is what's the difference between a HD and plasma tv?

A plasma is a type of HD set, others are LCD, DLP, and LCOS.
