vivitek 42" DLP help Can't Post

ok so my 42" is not turning on, and as i said in my previous post, i was told it was a bad lamp, but want to make sure before i buy one. there are 2 lights on the tv, the top one says ready and the bottom says power. I guess there is an error code you get from the sequence of flashes, but im not understanding it when going by the manual. does a bunch of random flashes and then comes to the sequence.

The sequence is 5 flashes and it goes....
(R= ready, P = power)
1.) R-Orange P- Green
2.) R- Orange P-Green
3.) R- Orange P- Green
4.) R- Orange P- Orange
5.) R- Orange P- Orange

and then it starts over and repeats

if you click this....http://tv.manualsonline.com/mdownloads/f998215b-e02a-45b4-d9c0-b31a3d0df575.pdf

go to page 48 and it give you the errors, but i cant seem to understand it, any help would be appreciated.

if you need anymore info let me know
Thanks!

Alston518;....

What I know about DLP TVs you can put on the head of a pin....
That said , I can read.....

According to what your manual says under "error codes" on page 48 & what I interpet from your post , you have a bad lamp.....

From page 48;=>....

Error2;...(Disregard Error #4 as it appears to have been written while the writer was on LSD)...
3 Green , 2 Orange = Lamp Strike Failure , Lamp Failure , Blast Error...
Lamp shut off unexpectedly....

The above agrees with your code;=>...
1.) R-Orange P- Green <#1 green
2.) R- Orange P-Green <#2 green
3.) R- Orange P- Green <#3 green
4.) R- Orange P- Orange <#1 orange
5.) R- Orange P- Orange <#2 orange

=3 green & 2 orange....

See how easy that was....

Try the lamp......

Please keep us posted with the results......THANKS....

Based on the info you gave (Hope its accurate) Absolutely !!!!

IF you are hinting for a guarantee that the lamp will fix it , I can't & won't give you one....
& I don't think anyone here or at any other forum would....

GOOD LUCK.....Smile.....

Please post back with results...
