26 " LCD TV Monitors with dimension 24" * 28"

Could someone advice me on a good 26" lcd tv monitor to fit my media center 24" by 28". I have looked at a few Samsung, Sony, ProVision but I am unable to decide. I am trying to keep it preferably under $400. Here is why I am unable to decide as I wonder if products under $400 would just as good as those much above $400. Also, I havent heard of a few brands before, but they meet my criteria.
If anyone has found a good experience which was also economical, could they kindly advice.
