Alert, alert, customers. Short - long story - quick fixer in need of been fixed first.
Joseph, The TV repairman with license No: 814168 is promising me to fix my TV for over a week, we set up an appointment every day and he never shows up and he always has excuses to avoid complying with his duties.
This is Joseph the TVRepairMan on his own words:
1.- 10/5 My Magnavox 52" TV went kaput, it has no image but sound (out of warranty).
2.- 10/9 I called Boss Joug Electronic Repair Brooklyn New York from http://www.tvrepairman.com list.
3.- 10/9 A guy Joseph is ready to take the challenge to fix my TV.
4.- 10/15 at 6:00 pm. We agree to meet in my premises for the diagnostic.
5.- 10/15 8:00 pm he showed up.
6.- 10/15 6:00 pm. His excuse for been late was because he got lost.
7.- 10/15 8:00pm. He visited my place, opened up the TV cover, took out the T module.
8.- 10/15. Date of initial diagnostic.
9.- 10/15 I paid $40 for diagnostic.
10.-10/15 he indicated that the labor will be $100 and $250 for the new T module.
11.-10/16 11:00am date scheduled for reinstalling the new T module in my TV.
12.-10/16 12:00pm he called me to indicate that he will be late.
13.-10/16 1:00pm he called me back to indicate he will not make it due to a mechanical problem in his car.
14.-10/16 2:00pm he called me back and said the transmission of his car is broken.
15.-10/16 he also stated that he has some family issues and is really a problem to finish his job.
16.-10/16 he also indicated that he has the T module but does not have the T module available. (he is a hyper talker).
17.-10/16 he had lots of problems with his dog, wife, car, got lost, his brother...he will do anything to be on time...
18.-10/16 I wasted my all Saturday dealing with Joseph from Boss Joug Electronic Repair Brooklyn New York.
19. 10/16 he indicated me that he will call me back as soon as his car gets fixed he promised he will come to fix my TV.
20.-10/16 he never called me back as a courtesy. (He made me wait for 8Hrs)
21.-10/19 when I called him he stated that he was waiting from my call, he wanted to finish this job.
22.-10/19 I called him and he spoke all the time with more excuses, promised me to come on Wednesday at 6:00.pm. (He made me wait for 4Hrs)
23.-10/20 6:00pm I'm waiting at home, Joseph called me to indicate that he is on his way and late 15.min.
24.-10/20 8:00pm he never showed up or called me.
25.-10/20 9:15pm I called him 2 times and he is not answering my calls. (He made me wait for 4Hrs)
26.-10/21 9:50am I just called him again no answer. His shop P# (718) 434-0340, his partner answered: "he went to pick up his car and will be back in 2 Hrs. and he does not have time for me. I said thank you.
27.-10/21 12:15pm I just called Joseph, as usual I called him but I can’t stop him talking: I tried to go to your place at 8:00pm the taxi wanted to charge me $80 round trip, my car was not ready yet because it needed oil in my transmission and the mechanic had a problem getting oil and was getting late to make the change so I did not take the taxi because I would lose money because the mechanic is charging me $700 and believe me this is the first time ever is happening to me, tomorrow (Friday) morning I'm going to fix your TV... I'll wait till tomorrow. I just want to see how far this guy Joseph will go with his excuses. (I called him, he did all the talk and he said I have another customer, I have to go and he hanged up my call). (He made me wait for 8Hrs.)
28.-10/22 9:55am I called Joseph, I need to know what time he will be coming to fix my TV as he promised, of course that was yesterday. He is not answering my call...
29.-10/22 10:42am I need to work too so I called him again: He said he will do it today he's got the car, the oil is ok, his transmission is ok, he needs the money, he needs to work, his dog is ok and is coming with a helper and will be in my place in 2 minutes...(I got the picture right, he lives in Flatbush and normally will be one hour from his place to my place and he still is in his shop) the 2 minutes is over.
30.-10/22 11:50am the 2min expired so I called him back and his partner answered my call and said: what is your name? …and your telephone number? I said you have it in your phone because you answered with my name damn it, I asked for Joseph and he said he will call me later, also he said if I can leave a message for him.
31.-10/22 1:01pm Joseph just called me he said he is stuck in the highway and can’t do it today, he said he will do it tonight. I said I have been waiting for you all this morning and for the last week and you can’t schedule my time and I have to work tonight. He said he will do it tomorrow Saturday early in the morning. (He made me wait for 8Hrs)
32.-10/23 11:20am Today is Saturday and I have not heard from Joseph yet.
(I’m waiting for 8Hrs as per his request)
33.- 10/23 3:30pm I decided to call Joseph, he does not who I am (I think he is drank or he's got a short circuit in his brain) he can’t articulate anything that I’m saying, and I can’t understand his pronunciation, a woman quickly picked up his phone and she said that they are coming and will be in my place in 45 minutes depending on the traffic conditions, she said she has no control of it. Will see, I think this is getting very creepy with 3 jerks: Joseph his partner and the un-identified woman.
33.- 10/23 5:00pm Boss (Joseph’s partner) and Susan came to install the T module, he installed it and it does not work. Boss does not speak English and (he says is from Haiti) the woman left as soon as they came.
After he installed the T module there is an internal crack in the left center of the screen when he turned on the TV and said I do not know anything. When Joseph did the diagnostic he said straight the T module is busted.
I think I lost my TV, $40 for the diagnostic, 40Hrs of my time at $45 per Hr. and a lot of aggravation.
Son of a gun, he switched my busted T module for a much older and more damaged T module. This is outrageous!
He left my premises causing more damage to the TV than repairing it and without making any comments had the guts to tell me call Joseph.
At this point I’ll not call them anymore and I’ll see what the BBB can do for me
