I know some common tips to clean LCD TV. I want to share with you-
Dilute the rubbing alcohol into a mix with about 50% alcohol and the rest distilled water.
Pour this solution into a spray bottle. Then Spray the mix onto a soft lint-free cloth like Old t-shirts or micro fiber car wash.
Gently wipe the cloth on the screen in a circular consistent motion. Apply even pressure to the cloth and be careful not to push too hard, or scrape the screen with your fingernails! Use only Mineral Water. Don't use tissue paper; they will leave lint and spots of paper stuck to your monitor. Also they're too thin, risking damage from your fingernails poking through.

You can find special foam for LCD screens at many stores. It's a little expensive but it is totally worth it, you won't have dust on your TV for weeks.

First the obvious- unplug or turn off your LCD TV and use a Microfiber Cloth to remove dust or dirt.

You CAN clean any LCD screen with a 50/50 solution of distilled water/isopropyl alcohol, using
an old cotton T-shirt or handkerchief, you should think about getting the proper cleaning kit
and cloths.

Final tip! Whatever you use - Never spray any cleaning solutions directly onto the screen, spray it into the your cleaning cloth.

Hope this helps!

Hello friend,
First we have to understand a little bit of background about LCD screens to know why we should be careful when cleaning. These panels are usually made of "plastic-like" polymer materials, and like any plastics they can be easily scratched or gouged, even by just your fingernails! That's why cleaning LCDs requires special care while cleaning compared to the old glass CRT monitors!
1. Dilute the rubbing alcohol into a mix with about 50% alcohol and the rest distilled water.

2. Pour this solution into a spray bottle. Old Windex bottles are good as they spray in a mist pattern with just the right amount to get good coverage on your screen. The spray bottles that squirt a single stream tend to drip solution all over the place.

3. Spray the mix onto a soft lint-free cloth. Old t-shirts and microfiber car wash cloths are both good choices. Large cloths are better since it helps to reduce the risk of leaving streaks on the screen from too much pressure.

4. Gently wipe the cloth on the screen in a circular consistent motion. Apply even pressure to the cloth and be careful not to push too hard, or scrape the screen with your fingernails!

These are the basic things we should obey this when we clean our lcd tv screen.

Thanks.

My method is cheap, simple and works, I use it to clean all galss, windons, tv screens and mirrors etc
I use 2 micro fibre cloths, the windowlean one is the best I have found, I get one wet with just warm water, no products etc, wring it out and use this to clean off any marks/wipe dust off etc, I then use the other cloth to dry and wipe away smears!
Try it, it works on an surface and leaves a clean, smear free surface.

Will using a little windex and a paper towel to clean an LCD screen do any harm to it? I am trying to clean my screen, but I do not want to mess it up in the process.

Shut down any devices before cleaning them. Inspect the screen very carefully to take note of any special areas that need to be cleaned. Don't spray any cleaning solution directly onto the screen but rather dampen your large cleaning cloth with your solution and apply very gentle pressure, cleaning the display in a circular motion.
