LCD TV and LCD Monitor - difference? Can't Post

Hey!

Google is full of such topics, but always is the answer that LCD TV has a lower resolution and tuners inside it.

But!

For example, why is Apple Cinema Display 30" monitor sp expensive compared to FullHD nice 37"-40" TV?

Is it because Cinema Display's S-IPS panel is better? What panels do TVs use then? What about pixel sizes and so on..

Why is that for a 30" monitor usually the native resolution is 2560x**** while in 50" monitors the maximum is 1920x1080 (HD)?

And so on...

Thanks for technical answers

Apple cinema displays are designed solely for architects and businesses. You can't compare them at any monitors pricewise cause Apple monitors are usable for mc'intosh pc only and is above windows, windows xp or vista consumer counterparts. They're twice expensive than any current full hd monitors around not because the panel is better but the intended use in designing aspects are accurate and due to this nature in design, highest resolutions is required. An that's what makes apple expensive. Again, a higher resolution monitor has got nothing to with better contrast ratio, or pixel refresh rates compared to our current 1920 x 1080 monitors.
A current 50 inch monitors with full hd are maximum pixel resolutions applied for video. Consumerwise, it's best for browsing Internet as well, However not quite good enough for architects as far as designing is concerned.
