LCD with blue spots

I have a two year old Sony Wega 50in model # KDF-50WE655. Over the last 6 months I have noticed a Blue light around the outside edge of the screen and blue spots in in the center of the screen. These spots started appearing towards the bottom left of the screen and it has grown to cover most the left and center of the viewing area. Tried doing a google search and all I found was it could be dust within the TV. Has anyone experienced this or know the cause?
