LG 47LG60 random flickering horizontal lines??	Can't Post

Hi there.. got a LG 47" lcd model today for 40 bucks, all works fine but there are these random horizontal lines flickering about various parts of the screen -

They come and go - i have taken off the rear cover and wiggled some of the ribbon cables.. it has improved quite a bit, esp the cable running up to the top -

could a dodgy ribbon cause this? any other ideas?
