LG 55 inch vertical white bar

Working with an LG55LX6500.
When the set is started I get a vertical white bar about 4 inches wide.
The bar is on the the right side of the screen going top to bottom.
The bar stays in the same spot and doesn't shift or move.
Its also translucent, meaning it doesn't "totally" block the image behind it.
The bar is present both when you first turn on the set and its just displaying
the LG logo, and after it starts showing the signal source.
Its also visible when the menu is up. Meaning the graphics from the menu
will not block the white bar, but the menu graphics can be seen.
So far I have cleaned the ribbon connections on the boards, but no change.
Any help appreciated, thanks.
