Picture going black Can't Post

I have an Element flx-1510 15" lcd tv, just a little over a year old. All of the sudden it start going black after about 20 seconds, but I still have sound. When I turn it off then on I'll get a picture but only for 20 secs. or so. Any ideas? I have a bad feeling I'll have to replace this. If so any suggestions its for the kitchen. Thanks!

take off the back and look through a hole in the framework to see if the backlights stay lit.itf they go out then either the inverter board is faulty or the lights, which are built into the screen and not replaceable

The light goes out. Is this fixable?

if the inverter board is available yes,but the screen probably is not available and even if it was it would cost more to buy than the tv did

Yes, I agree with the previous post, that sometimes it is much more cost effective to just get the new tv, rather then repairing it. Perhaps a used TV replacement may be a good answer to your situation.
