Hello everyone, This is my first message on here since my favorite forum went down.
So This is whats up. I am decent at repairing electronics, ive done my share as a hobby repairing CRT's for the past 20 years off and on for myself mostly. So My Grandparents gave me this LCD tv. And when i turn it on it lights up then dims out till its out, and then i get some smoke action... so i took er apart and didnt really want to power it back on but i notice that some 10uF @ 450V brown Caps were looking pretty blown up on the tops, like you see in vintage electronic stuff sometimes... So im suspecting this is where my smoke is coming from. So since im unfamiliar with these tv's it looks like a simple power board. but i dont have a schematic or anything. so yall think this would take care of it? or are there anything else i should test? it dont look like anything else is burnt by the eye other than the one cap is more discolored than the other...
