Measured Voltages on main board P2603 connector:

Pin 1 3.3V
Pin2 3.3V
Pin3 0V
Pin4 0V

Checked connector on Inverter board 1 LB 2603 (9 pin)
Measured 2 pins at 3.3 V and 0V on the other 2 pins

Re: [rfitts46] Sharp Aquous LC46D64U blinking green power light [In reply to] Can't Post

Finally opened up the link at the bottom of the post i copied and pasted into my post #16.

On the 4 pin connector main board P2603 pin 3 is the error signal and it measures 0V.

Is this where i jumper the 3V from pin 1 or 2 and feed it back to pin 3?

No link was pasted end of #16.
Using a isolation resistor (1K ohm) - Yes Two 1.5 volt batteries in series would also suffice.

The content in Post #16 of this thread I copied from another thread. The link was in the other thread, it showed the pinout of the 4 pin connector on the main board. But to be honest it was taken from the service manual, schematic of main board.

What do you mean by use an isolation resistor 1K?

Dont use a wire jumper, use a 1K resistor? Insert one lead into pin2 and the other into pin 3....pin 3 would see 3V?

That's where I found P2603/LB.

Used a VDC power supply. Did not cut the error wire between inverter board and main board. Connected 3VDC to the exposed connector lead on the inverter board connector. Measured 3VDC at pin 3 P2603 (error) main board. No back lights.

With the 3VDC present on mainboard P2603 pin 3 pressing vol up and channel down with the room lights off..... can see the tv's small input message block. pop up, upper right hand corner of screen. Flashes on few about 3 seconds and goes away. Can read HDMI and Stereo.

Hooked up DVD player using the red, green, yellow RCA connection...no picture...and pressed input until sound was present and there was some noise (sounded like static and then it stops in a repeating pattern .

Decided to try a different DVD and audio works along with seeing image using flashlight. So appears definately an inverter or bulb issue.

With as old as the set is, unless you have a scope to lay probe near inverter transformers to see if have momentary Oscillations, I'd visually confirm bulbs inside panel.

Re: [jts1957] Sharp Aquous LC46D64U blinking green power light [In reply to] Can't Post

Do have a scope.
Can you explain the set up procedure(scope settings) for laying a scope probe near inverter transformers looking for oscillation. These inverter boards have a thin rectangular transforner (about 1" x 1-1/2"). There are 4 terminals on primary side, berween 1 and three measure 1.8 ohm on the secondary there are two terminals that meadure open? There is a small bobbin type coil after these as well.

What do the oscillations tell you?
Any images and notes on taking screen apart to inspect tubes?

Approx. 10 ohms or less on Primary - Hundreds to thousands of ohms on Secondary.

https://www.badcaps.net/...owthread.php?t=21243 Post #2 in particular.

That HV drive is present.
As far as panel disassembly, Usually fairly self-explanatory. Connections and TFT panel are rather fragile. Be careful.

Still looking for schematic for RUNTKA323/325 inverter boards. Using RUNTKA396 as a reference for now.

Is it safe to assume that the C7558 (.47uF/10V) that sits on IC7501 lead 9 error amplifier input 1 on my inverter board is the same C7558 capacitor that the gentleman on the badcaps thread you had me read is the same? His inverter was for a different sharp lcd.

Yes I picked up on that. But before dissassembling to inspect bulbs it would be nice see back lights come on...if for no more reason to narrow down which bulbs? The inverter has the OZ9928SN CCFL backlight inverter controller.

Then you'll need to bypass your controller's shutdown and put a single uniform pattern Red, green, blue or gray raster onto screen.
Opening panel will allow observation of all bulbs even if screen only flashes On a single brief time. Plus some bulbs fit into sockets that may have somehow come loose.

Differs from posts #44 & 45?

'Similar' reference pdf covers a 26" & a 32" (which is quite blurry).
