LG 47" lh30, bad power supply? Can't Post

My 1.5 year old LG lcd died suddenly - I was just out of the room, and if it made any noise when it went out, I didn't hear it. Now it is not getting any power - the LED indicator light does not even come on. I checked all the obvious things. I also opened it up, and I'm not seeing any blown or leaking capacitors, or other signs of damage.

What are the chances this is an issue with something other than the power supply?
Any safety issues involved with replacing it?

The power board at least appears fairly easy to replace. I'm pretty tempted to order the matching part online and just replace it myself, but any advice from folks is appreciated.

Crazy Go ahead and order it . . . did you check the fuse to see if it is open?
