Samsung LNS3241D sound issues

I have a 6yr old Samsung LNS3241D tv. When I power it on, there is no sound. The tv must be powered on for about 15-20 minutes, then I turn it off, and back on again to get sound. After that, the sound is fine. The only thing connected to the tv is a cable box. Any ideas as to what is happening?
