Sharpness Control on LG LCD TV Can't Post

Does anyone know whether the "Sharpness" control on LG LCD TVs sharpens the image above 50 and blurs it below? Or does 0 just mean no sharpening? Or does 50 mean no sharpening, and 0 means blurred? Anyone know?

Actually, I've found that the setting at "20" looks the most natural, with no noticeable artifacting/haloing, and no noticeable blurring?
The model is LC7D or something like that.
Can anyone confirm that 20 is in fact the "neutral" setting for sharpness.
(I assume that 0 is not the right setting, because text, even from HD sources, looks horribly blurred, worse than on a SDTV. 20 looks natural.)
