Sony 40" or Philips 42"	Can't Post

I just bought myself a Philips 42PFL7403D/F7 and I ended up getting a purple bar straight down the middle of my screen after a day.

Now, I'm not sure if I want to get the same TV or the Sony Bravia KDL40SL140. They both are the same price $997.00.

I'm just looking for any help, I'm leaning towards the Sony but not really sure anymore which is the better buy any help would be great!

I'm looking to connect this TV to my PC and my Xbox360 and watch pretty much basic cable and what ever HD channels I get from comcast.

you should only buy Philips when there is nothing else ( ie every other manufacturer in the world has gone bankrupt)

I would agree with chris that never go with the Phillips. There are plenty of options be sure to check them all out before buying.

There are plenty of options in the market nowadays.
Just surf the net...& ull find many attrative and good Tv models online....

read the reviews about both product, compare the price, feature ect. then decide Laugh
