Sony KVL-30HR	Can't Post

The tv shows the green led for a few seconds, then goes off to red, flashing the blink code 4 times repeatedly. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received.

Before the TV shuts down, do you get backlight at all? If so, for how long? Do you get any audio?

No back-light at all and there's a pop from the speakers when it goes on and off but otherwise no audio

Take the back off and un plug your speakers and try again. Don't think this will help, but will elliminate your speakers being shorted. I would also check the voltage to your inverters. Should be 24 volts dc going in. If thit is not there then you simply have a bad power supply or ballast board

Speakers disconnected with no change. I don't see 24v from the p/supply. There's 33v & 16.5v both of which are ok.

Looks like your power suppy is fine. That would lead me to thinking your inverters are out since you never get back light at all. Which is good, that means you don't have a ad panel

Thanks for that. You think replacing the inverter pcb will cure it? By the way what's an ad panel?

I have now replaced the inverter board which has made no difference. Any further suggestions would be welcome.
