Sony LCD KDL52XBR9 Flickering Lines Issue.	Can't Post

Hi all, I think I've diagnosed this correctly, but since I'm not a TV tech I was hoping that somebody could confirm my diagnosis. Essentially, my tv has 4 bands of 4 flickering lines in each band. I'm assuming this is a T-Con board issue, but wasn't sure if it might relate to something else. Here's a video of the issue: https://youtu.be/MU7XTmJocBQ.

Try this first: Remove any FFC's, Clean contacts and then reseat.

Thanks JTS. I have cleaned and reseated the FFCs. Since it's happening throughout the screen and not limited to a single side, my thought was that it might be something going out on the T-Con board. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Are lines in front of or behind OSD/Menus?

The lines are in front of menus. They appear pretty constant from top to bottom although there is bit of a horizontal band on the top portion of the screen where they are not as thick as the others.

Thanks for that information jts, may I ask what book that is from?

It's been a bit of a busy week, but I did order a new T-Con board and just got it installed. On the bright side, the issue does relate to the T-Con board. The bad news is the board I received has an issue with the connection to the left half of the TV... but since the right is working fine with no more lines, I'm certain of my diagnosis. I appreciate your assistance. Now time to contact the seller and order another T-con.

Training manual I found somewhere on the Internet.
If has two of same ribbon jumpers at top of tcon you could swap one for the other and see if the current symptom follows or stays.

Hopefully seller has more than one. Unimpressed
