Vizio E470VL Sound Problems
New here, appreciate the help.
Every once in a while all signal seem to drop from the hdmi ports. Do not have any sound through hdmi at all. Have tried mutible cables and devices. Xbox= no sound just picture. BluerRay=No sound or signal, something is coming through as when I shut the BlueRay down the tv starts showing " no signal", sometimes it display the BlueRay logo very breifly at start up. Directv HD receiver = no sound and sometimes picture drops out but it does play sound through the red and white audio inputs from the receiver to the tv.
Picture is great.
Checking on the web it would appear the main board needs replace.
Would you guys here recommend that? It looks easy enough and can be had for about $130.
I believe the hdmi ports are going bad in the main board. I just found out if I shut off "device discovery" on the Xbox then the sound comes on but it says it may not be correct as it cannot detect the tv settings.. It would appear to me that the hdmi ports on the tv are not talking to the devices.
Would appreciate any help.
