Try at hi-spek at brentwood,essex.. A good lcd is what you get for £300. I have no objections if good is good enough. You may got lucky of a display model but branded lcd from hi-spek.

LCD is liquid Crystal, the screen works by the liquid molecules twisting and letting light shine through. Our friend the tugger forgot to mention that this liquid ages and becomes stiff. For one reason or another LCD only lasts a few years. Buy one that the shop has used every day for 2 years, dont expect it to last till you earn your pension, its older than you.

You can get a 23" Sony kdl23b4050 for under £300.

Or if you looked at something like a Toshiba you can get a 26" 26av505d for £309. I'm sure you can find the other £9 ;-)
