when inspecting the board, two caps were bad and then replaced. now, this "transformer" sparks and smokes when i try to power on the tv. so if i replace this and it still dosent work, then something else is wrong.

PS. the pic of the board is not the board in my tv. i use it for ease.

Only other hint I can give is to google each line of info off the transformer and sort through the resulting mess.

Board swap still may be the easier option.
