need help with picture problem vizio vx32l Can't Post

ok i bought this tv used off a lady who said was not working. brought it home plugged in to see what problem was. worked fine about 12 hours. now when turn on has sound but no picture. from the back you see backlight power up for about 1 second and go out.i recapped most of power supply even though didnt visually see bad caps. i am not having the problem that i see most having where they cant turn off without unplugging. i can turn on and off with remote. any ideas? thanks

Darren, i went to Vizparts.com and they are a bit more expensive than you paid. Where did u buy from? also, i see there is a 'master' board and 'slave' board. Which one did you replace and how did you know which one? Thx!

got mine off ebay. im not a tv guy but i believe this set only uses one board. when i bought mine some ppl listed as a master, some listed as slave, but pics were the same so i believe this set uses 1 board. looking at back of set..... the one on left w pink/white wires going to. my set is still working great

Thanks! I took the back of the set and tried to match a board up with one of these listed on Vizparts, but they don't look anything like the boards in my set. Do these look familiar to you? could you send me a link that shows the board you replaced? Much appreciated.

Darren, my board is different, but with your help I figured out which one I need. There are two on ebay, waiting to hear from the seller if the board is new, used, or reconditined. There aren't a lot of parts to these lcd tv's are ther?Smile Again thanks for your advice and assistance.

it usually says new/used etc at bottom of ad. if its 40-50 bucks its probaly used(thats what i got) ya lcd are much more simpler to work on. i wont even buy broken plasmas.some plasmas will have like 12 boards and when one goes bad it sometimes takes another one with it and ppl will replace one board and blow it instantly then their ordering two boards so now you bought 3 boards. havnt seen inside led tv yet.

Darren, thx for the info on the plasmas I'll avoid them...... also, I chk'd the ebay add and aboslutely no reference to used, new, or refurb so I sent in a question and waiting for response.
