sound won't work through home entertainment system Can't Post

Can someone help please, just purchased a 19" LG flat screen for our sons bedroom and the sound is not good, so we purchased the LG home entertainment system, both work really well but when you put the tv to freeview(digital) the sound cuts out from the sound system! do i need a special cable or is there a setting i'm not seeing? Any help would be really appreciated cheers.

you need to feed the audio system from the audio out left/right sockets on the back of the tv then you should hear whatever the tv is showing.otherwise connect the audio out sockets on the freeview box direct to the surround system

some cheap tv's will not output the signal from scart input out through the audio sockets.this may be one of them. check the manual or the on screen menu for audio settings. otherwise you will have to connect the surround system direct to the freeview box but then you wont get audio from any DVD or VCR you also have connected unless the surround system has 2 aux.in sockets.
