white screen on Coby TF-TV1511 TV

I purchased the Coby TF-TV1511 15" LCD TV about 8 months ago. Recently, as soon as I turn on the TV, the screen is completely white. I hear the audio and I'm able to change the channels but the screen remains white. Even when I change the mode (input) I see no change in the display. I don't see any on-screen displays like the volume, or menu. I tried disconnecting the power supply for a few hours, and reconnecting. It will sometimes work normally for the first few minutes, then the screen turns white. What could be the cause of this problem, and what is the solution?
