Plasma display is no problem. But being a 42 SAMSUNG? is indeed a PROBLEM. When you described it as: worse than others. Don't apologize or trying to be nice by saying:"sometimes". What is that?

I know! I need DETAILS as un-important that you think it may cause you to write. I do get strange definitions from consumers related problems. oftentimes, There was no problem at all. if not, the problem stated like tv set the problem for itself and prior to the occurrence, never once mentioned from any user how often the tv being used, who watches after you, or how many individual have access of the this tv. Other than the problem described, how long you had the tv before you happen to notice the problem. Another problem that causes the reader like me, is how you define the problem like you said it's hard to describe, and trust me! I can't relate to orange statics. Statics has no colors. Statics can create by any airborne noise, wind, rain or even a big truck passes by your house....Also, what causes the problem during: like watching from the dvd, tuner, or playing games etc? and please, there are basic troubleshoot guidelines in the tv manual and again check those through before or someone will advice you to open the unit for more damage. Fair?

What your describing sounds like what's known as sparkles in the Plasma TV world.
Sometimes they can be tuned out by adjusting some of the voltages on the Y sustain or Power supply boards. In other instances they will require the replaced of the Y and X sustain boards along with the logic board.
