42" Toshiba Plasma Theatre Wide

I have a 42" Toshiba Theatre Wide Plasma tv, model #- 42HP84 Serial #- 74Z00151. The screen shows up as two halves top and bottom of colored bars. I just recently bought a lower y board thinking that was the problem, but nothing happened. Can anyone please give me any solutions to fix this. Sure hate to get rid of this awesome tv!
