Buy Extended Service Plan or not?	Can't Post

I just purchased a Hitachi 42" hdtv plasma and am debating purchase of the extended service plan.

The store is offering 5yrs everything covered, including a replacement if necessary, for $800.

The Hitachi has anit-screen-burn maintenance utilities and I'm not sure what else could/might go wrong...do I get the plan or not? ...how to gamble...

Don't even hesitate... Buy the protection plan! It is well worth it. I had my first plasma go out after 14 months and the only thing that saved me was the protection plan. They replaced my set for free when it could not be fixed.

if you cant afford the protection plan, you cant afford the tv. any of the new technologies out dlp/lcd or plasma i would definately get the warranty on. Best Buy has probably the best garauntee of any. they actually cover the bulb on dlp sets...amazing!
