Difference between pioneer 4350, 4360, and elite??? Can't Post

Hi, im hoping someone can help me out with my question. I have a pioneer pdp-4360 plasma but the media reciever, pdp-r06u, is no longer in working order due to damages :(
Now i wanted to know if i use the pioneer reciever from the model below, the pdp-r05u, what will be the major/minor differences?
and lastly, would i be able to use the media reciever from the 43' pioneer elite version? ... the pro-r06u?
Hope someone can answer these,
thanks again =)

Yes! You can use any of their receivers. Their receivers originally made by Sharp. There's no techical differences except design/cosmetics. Just make sure you have the remote to power on the receiver in conjunction with the display. Im just wondering where will you able to purchase those separately?. They cost almost $2,000 receiver alone!

Hello, and thank you for the reply denonjapan :)
When you say there is no technical differences just design/cosmetics, you are referring to the just the monitor right?
In your opinion is it worth it to spend a few hundred more to buy the PRO-R06U? right now i have the PDP-R05U, but i have not installed or opened it yet, im thinking if i should just sell this one and get the PRO instead? But it will definately work with my plamsa right? I have the PDP-4360HD
Thanks again.

PDP-R05U is good enough, if you ask me if it's worth spending few extra hundred more for RO6U. Definitely NO! if you have the PDP-4360HD display and it comes with the receiver, Is there any reason why would you alter your choice?. having said that! when resources has no problem to you or has few $$$ to burn, Im just assuming, only when you have placement problem with the original receiver. I think! RO5U is slimmer OR narrower than R06U. however! it works either way. You won't notice the difference! PDP-4360HD is unknown to me how well they're QC'd in MEXICO.

I got the pdp-r05u, i plugged in the white and black cables into the tv and reciever.
Now when i press power on the tv just makes a clicking sound, the the blue led on the tv turns solid for a second, after which the orange standby light on the tv quickly comes on and goes off and the and the blue on lights just starts flashing again.
And the standy light on the reciever says a solid orange and nothing else happens.
What is wrong here? Are you suuuree that the pdp-r05u (december 2004) works with the pdp-436PU (november 2005)??

Hi, don't get excited here! from what Im hearing is: You went connected each other but never mentioned of what source you were trying to view. The orange light from the receiver indicates there were no video is fed to transmit?. Coxial input maybe? then proceed to steps from your owner's manual. Refer to your owner's manual.
Don't doubt one BRAND's compatibility regardless of their model. They always have one chip to communicate according to their remote control set to that! manufacturer's only. It should work 100% of a time.
Now! Im not really sure! since hearing from you, the origin descripted according to you was: the pdp-r06u was the problem. Are you sure it is the problem?. .could it be the monitor ? either way around?.............Lastly! Pls! take your time with your connections.

Were you able to get this to work with the PDP-r05U? Have a similar situation and this info would be very important. Have a PDP-434PU and considering getting a PDP-r04u or pdp-r05u.

This has been discussed 7 months ago, My cousin here in Jp has the PDP-4340HD with the original PD-RO4U receiver. He bought the PD-RO5U unit for 4340 screen for a simple reason the R04U is quite bigger than RO5U. And it worked. when you buy any stand alone receiver from Pioneer?, make sure it comes with the original remote and manual to do the set-up.
