Green lines running through screen Can't Post
I have a HP PL4260N and ever since I bought it there are green lines running up the screen when I use the component connection, but not RF connection. The lines get more prominent when other appliances in the house are turned on.

The warranty guy replaced the interface board and verified all power and cables were grounded. We also tried two separate cable boxes and had the same problem. He said it may be a bad neutral and to me it definitely sounds like a electrical problem.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

try the dvd on component input.is it the same?`are the component leads screened or not.

Yes, we've tried 2 seperate boxes and different componet wires.

How can I tell if the leads are screened?

I am going to tried to find an HDMI cable and see if it changes anything. I really think it's electrical though. Since whenever an applicance turns on the screen flashes. My old CRT was never effected like that. This plasma seems a lot more sensative.

I hate to interrupt you and before you do any damage, you are right about electrical problem. Not the display, If the lines is stagnant on the screen then I would fault the screen, but it is moving and you said , it's more prominent with other appliances when in use?.> Find or get the ferrite cores and attach it to the power cable. It will help dissipate the lines and it should disappear gradually while in use............

Just so everyone knows I purchased an HDMI cable to see if it would fix the problem, and worse case have a better digital signal, and IT WORKED. There are no more lines running through the screen so there is definitely a problem with using the component cables and electromagnetic fields in my house.
