HELP....which plasma and where to buy? Can't Post

Greetings......I'm new to this forum and, thankfully, I've found others with plasma knowledge! I want to buy a plasma tv and I've decided on the Panasonic 50-incher (I think..or the 42). Like anyone, I want to buy at the lowest price, but I, also, don't want to be left hanging by a vendor if something goes wrong.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where and if I've made the correct choice(s). Also, a friend said there was a latest and greatest (KK-something or other) monitor coming out in a month or so....anyone know about that?

I sure would appreciate some help before I throw alot of $$$ away!!!!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,colonelflagg

Circuit City has a great selection of plasma tvs at really good prices, plus they offer a protection plan that covers parts, labor, and performance issues.

If you are looking for a great product at a great price check out Gateway. They have 3 sizes including a 50inch HDTV for 6999.99. I talked to Zeek he was able to walk me through the process and also had questions to make sure that I was getting the best price and the right equipment. Check it out! Call him at 1800-846-2036 ext 56773.

No matter what you buy, don't buy a Maxent plasma. It is the worst plasma on the market. I bought one and I have never seen such a bad picture in my life. I would rather watch black and white. The company won't help me in fixing it, they told me I was out of luck. Walmart has a plasma for $1995 that kills the Maxent. Good Luck!

The best all round plasma's picture and price are any of the panasonics.

I like the th42pd25up its ed not hd but ed is better looking for anything that is not true hd like dvd players and normal cable. you can save alot by buying online I will recommend tigerdirect, plasmabay, and buydig and newegg. Carefull there are lots of plasma SCAMMERS OUT THERE

If you are in the U.S. which I doubt it. PANASONIC is the best , running contender is MITSUBISHI. OURSTORE.COM is trusted lowest price you will ever see in U.S. retailer.

I'm curious which Maxent you purchased, and where you bought it. I saw the HDTV Maxent at Costco (for about one week), at $2500. Picture is pretty good, though not as good as the market leaders. Didn't expect it to compare to $4-8K units though. I'm hoping Costco is my "out" if it turns ugly anytime soon. I did see a Maxent "EDTV" at Best Buy that for weeks had a crappy picture, AC sine wave rolling along, etc., then one day one of the guys set it up right, and the pic looked pretty good.
