Hyundai HPT-4203 Stuck in Blank color mode Can't Post

Hello!
Have a very odd situation. A 42" Hyundai HPT4203 (Phillips internals I believe) is stuck in a constant solid color loop on the display, going from solid red, to green, to blue, to grey and so on. Menu does not come up either from the remote or the front panel. I cannot control anything. Unplugging the set does not reset it.
I have looked for a reset internally, and found a small pushbutton on what appears to be the main controller board, but this doesn't appear to do anything.
Clients says that his 2 year old was playing with the remote when this locked up. Is there a secret key sequence that the genius child managed to decode, or is this just a coincidence.
Please advise.
Thanks
Gerry

Interesting! I'm pretty sure the 2 years old accidentally went to the security lock of the entire unit. consisting 4 letters or numbers. Or he might have disengage the function of the remote control. good luck!

There's no way you could get re-booted up to this time. The security is locked into the memory of the tv. This isn't like a computer that you could put a recovery disc and start re-programming. However, I'm not certain for sure if you unplug the unit for a long long time, (how much time? month or 2) then it may come back on it's own. if it works for manufacturer's factory pre-settings of the tv. It should also work that way.

Well, I could always wait....
I believe I saw a pin to reset the processor, but if there is a type of flash memory that keeps the last state of operation, then it might not clear it. I am still studying the schematics.

Memory is solid state so regardless of how many lifetimes you wait it wont change if that is your issue, call the manufacturer for advice.

Sent an email to them and they don't reply. Great customer service!!
I heard there's a sofware reset. Something to do with key sequence on the remote. Anyone heard of this?

No Sir, not him... fellow TV tech. Yes - there IS a key sequence that the bloody kid hit by accident and now its stuck.
I've seem many notes on service mode access in the repair forum - and quite a few wannabe's trying to fix stuff. Unfortunately I'm an old school broadcast tech and have only had the pleasure of repairing high end Techtronics and Ikigami tube sets.
I *could* wait till my tech friend finds it, or someone here can help me eventually.... Which would be swell.
