LG plasma question / issue

LG plasma question / issue Can't Post
I have an LG DU-42PZ60 (42" Plasma). The TV is no longer functioning. The power light flashes, no welcome message is displayed and the screen lightly illuminates. None of the buttons on the front of the unit are operational (except the master power button) and the remote has no effect either (except the power/standby button).

Anybody heard of this or have experienced this same issue?

Thoughts on LG plasma TVs? Should I exchange this TV for another model or brand?

Of course, if you can exchange it and it doesn't work then that is a no-brainer. I am starting to wonder about LG, a lot of people are having problems with them. Maybe Denonjapan can recommend to us his favorite brands.

I spoke with a service tech about this issue. He believes it to be an environmental problem. He thinks one of the chips is being flooded with IR or radio frequencies. He recommended covering the remote receiver on the front of the TV.

Sounds suspect to me. The TV couldn't be that fragile.

That's total bull, I have wifi and bluetooth and it doesn't interfere with my TV. If I were you I would return it.

It is the power supply I have got 2 more of these units in and all 3 are the power supply. I got one power supply to work for about 30 mins and then it died I did use it to check the other 2 TV's and they all work with that power supply. Where can i get the power supply? planar says they no longer stock it?

LG=lucky goldstar, or as we say in the UK made by goldstar,lucky if it works for long. the back up service is hopeless.
